We’re very excited to be publishing The Mesh: Why The Future of Business is Sharing by Lisa Gansky in September.
Last week, Lisa launched The Mesh directory, the companion website to her book. The directory is a compilation of more than 1,500 businesses worldwide that are helping to create the “sharing economy” by using technology to give people convenient access to goods and services.
It turns out there’s real money to be made from helping customers buy less, but use more. Well-known Mesh companies include ZipCar, FedEx, and Craigslist.
As Lisa says, “Businesses as big as Netflix and as small as a guy in LA who rents Christmas trees have figured out that access trumps ownership.”
The book won’t be published until September 23, but you can visit Lisa’s site for updates, advance praise, and more info on The Mesh directory.
