About Allison McLean

Allison McLean is Associate Director of Publicity for Portfolio. She began her career at Portfolio in the summer of 2002, right after graduating from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, and before the imprint’s first book was published.

Allison has worked on dozens of bestsellers, including Carly Fiorina’s Tough Choices, David Cay Johnston’s Perfectly Legal and Free Lunch, Bethany McLean and Peter Elkind’s The Smartest Guys in the Room, Michael Silverstein’s Trading Up, Guy Kawasaki’s The Art of the Start and Reality Check, and every Seth Godin book since Purple Cow (7 and counting).
