Amanda Pritzker joined the Portfolio team in 2009 as a Senior Publicist and is now a Publicity Manager. She started her publishing career in her hometown of Boston, MA, at Newman Communications, where she executed a number of successful publicity campaigns for bestselling authors such as Governor Mike Huckabee and Forbes publisher Rich Karlgaard. She soon moved to New York to join the publicity department at Workman Publishing, where she worked with authors ranging from legendary children’s illustrator Sandra Boynton (along with Davy Jones of The Monkees) to celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss.
Amanda graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2004 with a B.A in both English and Communications, and spent a semester in London interning at Tatler magazine. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and their puggle, Hudson, who has chewed the corners off of all her precious books.
