Brooke Carey is an associate editor at Portfolio who is actively seeking to build her list in the business category. She came to Portfolio in November 2007 after graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in magazine journalism, history, and Italian.
Some of her favorite recent projects include 168 Hours by Laura Vanderkam, The Last of the Imperious Rich by Peter Chapman, and You Can’t Fire Everyone by Hank Gilman. She is particularly interested in the areas of business history, narrative, personal finance/self-help, psychology/sociology, and small business/entrepreneurship.
In her spare time, Brooke enjoys hanging out in her neighborhood of Astoria, Queens, reading novels, and blogging for a local website.
